Pasta alla carbonara, aka bacon and egg spaghetti!
To night i was at a bit of a loss for what to make for dinner, i thought a frittata would be nice but i just wasn't feeling it. So as i was rummaging through the cabinets for ideas my dad suggested in a very non discreet way that HE WANTED PASTA.
So with the frittata still in mind i thought hey, lets take a whack at spaghetti carbonara. I have seen it made many times on food network and i figure anything with bacon is good, so why not.
It proved to be extremely easy, it consisted of nothing more than cooking the bacon and the pasta, mixing eggs up with some cheese and garlic (lots of garlic, its my favorite) and tossing it with the hot pasta to cook it. This recipe is a total fake out, its something so easy but at the same time very gourmet and Delicious!
